Welcoming the new year…
This is the year where I realized what the nitty gritty details sum up to. I realized which friends were true…and which were not. I finally saw a pattern that true friends would exhibit. They would joke about your embarrassments but they would NEVER take advantage of you. They would lend a listening ear to your problems, if you were willing to share with them.
Sure, some of us have met with rough patches in the past year. But as I’d like to believe, what happened in the past should remain in the past. Derive lessons. Make none of the same mistakes. Laugh about your mistakes. Cry if need be. BUT never brood over it. Nothing’s gonna change. He/She’s not gonna come back. Your results aren’t gonna change.
THIS IS THE YEAR WHERE YOU PROVE YOUR WORTH. Own it. Remember the family members and friends that you would throw tantrums at whenever you were upset? Well, this is when you should start treating them better. Why spread unhappiness? Smile and the world smiles with you! If you live life with a smile, you’ll begin to see the beauty of things. :)
